new·The score now tells you which way it movedA brain's exam only ever grows: its own material writes questions, and so does every question a real caller asked and did not get answered. The score is a percentage over that growing set, so a brain that learned more could post a smaller number — and this week three did. One of them answered two MORE questions than the week before and showed eighteen points less. Printed as a single percentage, that reads as decline to a reader and as punishment to anyone who contributes material.all news →

Vitest is the testing framework

Better Auth uses Vitest for testing. Test files should be placed next to the source files they test.

Test instance helper for async context

The test instance helper provides runWithUser and signInWithTestUser functions for managing user sessions in tests. Use runWithUser to run tests with a specific user context, passing email, password, and a callback. Use signInWithDefaultUser to run code with a default test user's session context.

Vitest test structure example

Import describe, it, and expect from vitest, then use getTestInstance() to get a test client. Structure tests with describe blocks and it blocks containing assertions.
