Versioned repositories should use only the latest version

When a repository contains multiple concurrent versions (e.g., `2025-06-18`, `2026-07-28`, `draft`), ingest only the newest version. Otherwise the brain contradicts itself on every detail. Set `versioned: true` in the pack configuration; the newest folder is determined automatically.

Proposals should not be conflated with specifications in catalogue ingestion

MCP has 42 `seps` (proposals) files alongside specifications. A brain that does not distinguish proposed features from accepted ones is worse than empty. Skip proposal paths in the `skip` configuration. The difference between proposal and specification must be preserved in extracted notes.

Catalogue ingestion should focus on knowledge the model lacks or misremembers

Ingest documentation that is either newer than the model's training data or specified with such precision that a paraphrase would introduce error. Do not ingest material the model already knows well by rote — that wastes tokens. The purpose is to fill gaps and correct misconceptions, not to replicate the model's existing knowledge.
