When creating a new Zero Trust organization, Cloudflare now sets the Cloudflare identity provider as the default login method. Previously, new organizations defaulted to one-time PIN (OTP) authentication.
The Cloudflare identity provider allows users to authenticate using their existing Cloudflare account credentials. Authentication is restricted to members of the account.
The change to make Cloudflare identity provider the default applies only to newly created accounts. Existing organizations keep their already-configured login methods. To use the Cloudflare Identity Provider in an existing account, it must be manually enabled.
Users can still add one-time PIN (OTP) authentication or connect any third-party identity provider to their Zero Trust organization whenever needed.
The new Gateway Analytics in Cloudflare One Dashboard provides visualization of four main areas: Patterns Over Time (trends in traffic volume and blocked requests), Top Users & Destinations (active users for policy enforcement), Actions Taken (security actions like blocks and allows applied by Gateway policies), and Geographic Regions (global traffic distribution).
To access the new Gateway Analytics overview, log in to the Cloudflare Zero Trust dashboard at https://one.dash.cloudflare.com/ and navigate to Analytics in the side navigation bar.
Gateway Analytics provides visibility into your organization's DNS queries, HTTP requests, and Network sessions with actionable insights into how users interact with the Internet and protected resources.
The Zero Trust dashboard is being restructured to better support common tasks and workflows, with various pages moved and consolidated. Product names have been removed from many top-level navigation items to provide clarity about what they accomplish.
Gateway policies can now be found under 'Traffic policies' in the reorganized dashboard navigation.
CASB findings can now be found under 'Cloud & SaaS findings' in the reorganized dashboard navigation.
All analytics, logs, and real-time monitoring tools can be viewed from the 'Insights' section in the dashboard.
The 'Networks' section better maps how the corporate network interacts with Cloudflare. Tunnels are now a tab rather than a full page and can be found at Networks > Connectors.
Settings are now located closer to the tools and resources they impact. For example, WARP configurations are now found at Team & Resources > Devices.
A new guided experience on login details the dashboard navigation changes. To replay the guided experience, access Overview > Get Started.
The Zero Trust dashboard search can find product pages by both their new and old names, as well as user-created resources.
No changes to API endpoint structure or backend services have been made as part of the dashboard navigation restructuring effort.
