Troubleshooting: ts(2691) error indicates built-in TypeScript engine

If you see errors like "An import path cannot end with a '.ts' extension" or "Cannot find name 'Deno'" with source ts(2691), the built-in TypeScript/JavaScript engine is being used instead of the Deno language server. Check that deno.enable is set to true and that the VS Code setting enableProjectDiagnostics is disabled.

The VS Code setting "TypeScript › Tsserver › Experimental: Enable Project Diagnostics" should be disabled. This setting allows the TypeScript language server to execute in the background, and Deno cannot disable its behavior, so errors may persist even when Deno is properly configured.
