Access Receipts page in EAS dashboard

The Receipts page is accessed by clicking on Receipts in the navigation menu under Subscription at https://expo.dev/settings/receipts. Only users with Owner or Admin access to an account can view Receipts.

Download receipt from billing period

To download and view a receipt, go to the Receipts page, click the Date for the billing period corresponding to the receipt to navigate to Stripe, then click Download receipt to receive a PDF copy.

Request a refund from Receipts page

To request a refund, go to the Receipts page, click the three-dot menu next to a receipt, then click Request Refund. Fill out the Request a refund form with refund details and click Continue. Refund requests are manually reviewed by the billing team, and approved refunds are credited to the payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

Billing and Receipts page access control

Only account Owners and Admins have access to the Billing and Receipts pages in the Expo account dashboard. These pages are used to manage and track invoices, payments, plans, and other billing-related information.

EAS subscription plans overview

Expo provides various subscription plans for integrated cloud services through Expo Application Services (EAS). These plans can be managed through the account dashboard.

The Billing section is accessed by clicking Billing from the navigation menu under Subscription in the EAS dashboard at https://expo.dev/settings/billing.

View current plan in EAS dashboard

To view your current plan, click Billing from the navigation menu under Subscription in EAS dashboard. Under Current Plan, you can see the current plan for your account.

Downgrade plan eligibility and timeline

You can downgrade to the Starter plan if you are on a Production, Enterprise, or Legacy plan. Downgrading to the Starter plan takes effect after your current billing period ends.

Downgrade plan workflow

To downgrade a plan: go to Billing and click Change Plan under Current Plan. Under Select account, select the account from the dropdown menu you want to downgrade. Under Upgrade plan, locate the Starter plan and click Change. A confirmation dialog will be displayed; click Done to confirm. The upcoming plan change is reflected under Billing > Upcoming Plan.

Cancel Production or Enterprise plan

Cancellation from a Production or Enterprise plan takes effect after your current billing period ends. To cancel, go to Billing and under Cancel all subscriptions, click Continue to Stripe to follow the cancellation process.

Cancel Starter plan

Cancellation for the Starter plan takes effect after your current billing period ends. To cancel, go to Billing and under Cancel all subscriptions, follow the prompts to cancel your subscription. Note: if you unsubscribe from a Starter plan, you will be charged for any usage incurred during the current billing period.

Update billing name, email, or address

To update billing name, email, or address: go to Billing and under Manage billing information, click Manage billing. This opens Stripe's portal. Click Update information, enter your new name, email or address, then click Save.

Add or update tax ID

To add or update a tax ID: go to Billing and under Manage billing information, click Manage billing. This opens Stripe's portal. Click Update information, then under Tax ID select the ID type, enter your valid tax ID, and click Save.

Add payment method

To add a new payment method: go to Billing and under Manage billing information, click Manage billing. This opens Stripe's portal. Under Payment method, click Add payment method, enter your new payment method details, and click Add.

All billing information including name, email, address, payment methods, tax ID, invoicing history, and payment method management is handled through Stripe's portal, which is accessed via the Manage billing button in EAS dashboard.

Billing details such as name, email, address, and tax ID are included on the monthly invoice received for the subscribed plan.

Expo cost and licensing

The Expo platform is free and open source. This includes the libraries in the Expo SDK and the Expo CLI used for development. The Expo Go app is also free from app stores. Expo Application Services (EAS) is an optional suite of cloud services for React Native apps that can be used for free if the Free plan quotas are sufficient.
