Claude MCP server configuration JSON shape (mcpServers)

To configure MCP servers for Claude, the config JSON has a top-level "mcpServers" object whose keys are server names. Each server entry has a "command" string (e.g. "npx"), an "args" array of strings (e.g. ["-y", "@modelcontextprotocol/server-memory"]), and optionally an "env" object mapping environment variable names to values (e.g. a GitHub personal access token variable). Filesystem servers take an allowed directory path as a trailing argument, e.g. ["-y", "@modelcontextprotocol/server-filesystem", "/path/to/allowed/files"].
