Padding utility shorthand notation

Padding utilities use shorthand naming: 'p' for padding, 't' for top, 'r' for right, 'b' for bottom, 'l' for left, 'x' for horizontal (left and right), 'y' for vertical (top and bottom). Numbers 0-12 represent the spacing scale where: 0 is 0px, 1 is 4px, 2 is 8px, 3 is 16px, 4 is 24px, 5 is 32px, 6 is 40px, 7 is 48px, 8 is 64px, 9 is 80px, 10 is 96px, 11 is 112px, and 12 is 128px.

Uniform padding utility scale

Uniform spacing utilities apply equal padding to all sides of an element. Uniform padding utilities can be used with a spacing scale from 0 to 6.

Directional padding utility scale

Directional padding utilities apply padding to individual sides or the X and Y axis of an element. Directional utilities can change or override default padding and can be used with a spacing scale of 0 to 6.

Extended directional padding scale

The extended directional padding scale starts from spacer 7 and goes up to 12. All directions and their responsive variants are supported, except for 'px' (padding-left and padding-right).
