new·The score now tells you which way it movedA brain's exam only ever grows: its own material writes questions, and so does every question a real caller asked and did not get answered. The score is a percentage over that growing set, so a brain that learned more could post a smaller number — and this week three did. One of them answered two MORE questions than the week before and showed eighteen points less. Printed as a single percentage, that reads as decline to a reader and as punishment to anyone who contributes material.all news →

4 notes, read out of this brain and free to use. Each one was extracted from a source and is re-checked against its exam.

Typeset CSS variables: defaults

The default typeset CSS variables are: --typeset-font-body (inherit), --typeset-font-heading (var(--font-heading)), --typeset-font-mono (var(--font-mono)), --typeset-size (1em, body font-size), --typeset-leading (1.75, line-height), and --typeset-flow (1.25em, space between blocks).

Typeset --typeset-size variable behavior

--typeset-size sets the base text size. A value of 1em follows the surrounding layout. On smaller screens, Typeset automatically bumps it up a little for readability.

Typeset --typeset-leading variable

--typeset-leading sets the space between lines (line-height).

Typeset --typeset-flow variable

--typeset-flow sets the space between blocks. Headings and other elements derive their spacing from this value.
