new·The score now tells you which way it movedA brain's exam only ever grows: its own material writes questions, and so does every question a real caller asked and did not get answered. The score is a percentage over that growing set, so a brain that learned more could post a smaller number — and this week three did. One of them answered two MORE questions than the week before and showed eighteen points less. Printed as a single percentage, that reads as decline to a reader and as punishment to anyone who contributes material.all news →

v5 renamed status loading to pending and isLoading flags

In v5, the status 'loading' has been renamed to 'pending', and the isLoading flag has been renamed to isPending. A new isLoading flag has been added that is implemented as isPending && isFetching. The old isInitialLoading flag is now equivalent to isLoading but is deprecated. This change applies to both queries and mutations.

v5 renamed hashQueryKey to hashKey

In v5, the hashQueryKey function has been renamed to hashKey because it also hashes mutation keys and is used in predicate functions of useIsMutating and useMutationState.
