Performance-efficient transition properties

Properties like transform and opacity are efficient to animate because they do not affect document layout during animation (no expensive CSS layout calculation per frame) and most modern browsers leverage GPU hardware acceleration when animating transform. Properties like height or margin trigger CSS layout and are much more expensive, so should be used with caution.
